Laurie + MaryJane aims to produce the very best of small batch cannabis infused edibles. They have a number of award winning products that are lovingly handmade and then carefully tested to make sure that they are not only delicious, but deliver consistent doses to consumers.
Laurie + MaryJane is a family-owned and operated business that was set up in Oregon in 2014. In 2015 their Spiced Nut Mix won a Dope Cup award for best savory edible and in the same year their Almond Cake won the second place prize for best sweet edible. The following year, in 2016, their Fudgy Brownie Bits won first place in the best sweet edible category.
The founder, Laurie World, is one of the leading figures in the edible community and is an award-winning culinary entrepreneur. Over the last few years, she has published four cannabis cookbooks, HERB, Cooking with Cannabis, Marijuana Edibles, and The Medical Marijuana Dispensary. You can find her recipes in a number of leading cannabis publications including The Cannabist, Cannabis Now, Dope Magazine, Culture, Oregon Leaf, and High Times as well as The Oregonian, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Her recipes cover all kinds of foods designed to cater to every taste, from soup to nuts, and also include techniques for at home infusions. Her brownie recipe on The Cannabist won Leafly’s Brownie Bracket challenge, and they said it was “the absolute best cannabis brownie recipe of all time.”
Laurie graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and then began working in New York as a chef, caterer, food stylist and food editor at Mademoiselle and Child. She moved to Oregon in 2008 and soon published Food Lovers’ Guide to Portland, Oregon, Food Lovers’ Guide to Seattle, and Portland, Oregon Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes From The City Of Roses.
She then began using her experience to produce high quality cannabis edibles for medical users like herself. This led to the founding of Lauri + MaryJane in 2014 after she had successfully managed a seizure disorder with cannabis. She is a firm believer in the medical benefits of cannabis and her products continue to win awards to this day.
