The people who run Rebel Spirit Cannabis Farm trace their roots back to a man called ‘Uncle Mark’, who they say was the original rebel and that he planted an idea that seeded a generation of likeminded people.
The farm works to preserve Uncle Mark’s legacy and the founders say that the farm is the “culmination of years of hard work, determination, and the willingness to overcome the injustices of an oppressive era.”
The farm’s philosophy is that everyone should be free to choose their own adventures and that they wish to help people do this. They claim that everyone has “an excitement inside – a rebel, an idea a creation” that the farm can help to release.
They grow their product with the planet in mind. They mix their own soil from the farm’s earth and organic matter to provide their cannabis plants with all natural nutrients. The plants are hydrated with collected rainwater and water from the farm’s well that draws from a deep and pure aquifer. They then recapture and recycle their water to reduce their environmental impact. In order to save electricity they use LED lights for their indoor grow, and they are currently installing solar panels to provide their main source of power. All of the farm’s packaging is re-usable and recyclable. In short, they do all that they can to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
The farm knows that all cannabis users are looking for something a bit different and to that end grows a variety of strains, each full of cannabinoids. The strains are designed for both medical and recreational needs, and include sativas, indicas and hybrids.
They strive to share the vision of naturally grown high quality cannabis with as many people as possible in order to help them release their inner rebel. All they ask is that customers work to answer the question, “What kind of rebel are you?”
The product range includes a number of different strains at any given time and it is being expanded all the time. In 2016 they won the award for Best Outdoor Flower from the Oregon Growers Cup.
