Veritas Fine Cannabis, established in Denver, Colorado in 2014, is America’s first recreational cannabis wholesaler.
Since the company’s creation, it has been focused on the highest quality product and their facility is designed to allow them to grow the most consistent and best tasting cannabis possible. In the summer of 2016 they were continuously sold out while white labelling, and since then undertook a branding overhaul and have tripled their production capacity.
They are committed to taking things “one plant and one day at a time” in order to provide customers with the most consistent product that does what it says on the tin.
In order to select a specific strain they will plant up to one hundred seeds of it. After a couple of months, the plants’ sex becomes evident and at this point male plants are removed. The best plants are called ‘Mothers’ and they are moved to the mother room. These plants are eventually cloned to ensure a consistent product moving forward.
The plants vegetate for up to six weeks as they germinate, all the while being hand watered, manicured and trimmer. The cultivation team closely monitors each plant’s progress to make sure that the plants meet the highest standards. The plants then flower for up to 10 days in an atmospheric controlled environment until it reaches peak ripeness.
Veritas Fine Cannabis determines when a plant is ready for harvest by looking at the trichome on each bud (the crystal content that holds the active cannabinoids). When the trichome turns amber it is harvested and will enter into a cure period. When the harvest has been cured Veritas’ expert team then hand trims it to ensure that each gram meets their high standards. The remaining portions of the harvest are then sold on to specially selected extraction companies to be condensed into oils, extractions, and butters.
The Veritas flowers are then carefully weighed and vacuum packaged before being sent out to customers and dispensaries. Veritas products are available in large format jars, or prepackaged in unique bags, to provide the best cannabis experience that Colorado has to offer.
