Good heavens, not a lot of strains come with the same pedigree and stature as Blue God does. Both of this bud’s parents are award-winning and highly regarded around world. In fact, both are past winners of the prestigious High Times Cannabis Cup. God Bud, one of its parents, was the 2004 winner of the Indica section. Its other parent, Blueberry, was the overall best strain in 2000. Although Blue God can’t claim to be an award-winning strain like its parents, it certainly packs a powerful punch and doesn’t let the family down. With its moderate 15-20% average THC level and its indica-leaning qualities, it is a heavy physical high, with dashes of euphoria thrown in for good luck.
Blue God’s buds are dense, with leaves that appear more violet than green. Resin production is high and a blanket of trichomes makes the dried flowers appear almost shimmering. When pulled apart, these buds release the sweet fruity aromas of blueberry with an herbal undertone. The taste is of delicious sweet and fruity blueberry.
The high from Blue God is primarily of the physical nature. Any mental effects experienced from this bud are more of the psychedelic kind, rather than the cerebral, although slight flashes of euphoria may enter the picture. If users are looking for any type of focus, they won’t find it here. As the numbing physical high creeps throughout the body, waves of pure relaxation washes over until the user is gently led to a place of inevitable sleep. In other words, couch-lock is all but inevitable.
As a result of these effects and its 20% THC level, Blue God is a very good choice for treating irritability, chronic pain, insomnia, and daily stress.
When growing, Blue God thrives both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, it has a short flowering time that could be as early as 8 weeks. For outdoor growing, expect it to flower in the first couple of weeks of October.
Being more of a sedative strain than a motivating one, Blue God is for those who just want to relax and eventually enjoy a peaceful sleep.
